European Week of Regions and Cities workshop "Measuring energy poverty to ensure a socially fair green transition"

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EUREGIONSWEEK 2022) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. In its framework, the EPAH will be represented at the online workshop "Measuring energy poverty to ensure a socially fair green transition".

The workshop is organised by Climate Alliance that will bring forward the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub approach and the new set of indicators for local governments developed by the Covenant of Mayors, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) that will provide an overview of EU-wide available data and indicators, and the European Anti-Poverty Network that will focus on the dimension of social justice in the characterisation of energy poverty across the EU.

The European Week of Regions and Cities has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including politicians, administrators, experts and academics. Over the last 19 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and the exchange of good practice.

In 2022, the official registration to the event will be launched on 31 August. The event takes place under the themes:

  • Green transition
  • Territorial Cohesion
  • Digital transition
  • Youth empowerment.
