Description
5th EPAH Practitioners Event, Consumer protection measures in the energy sector explores how targeted actions can strengthen resilience and security across multiple levels, from local energy communities to interventions on individual buildings and technical systems. The event highlights practical approaches that can help protect consumers, empower households, and reduce exposure to energy-related disruptions.
This interactive event brings together researchers, practitioners, and community experts to examine how integrated solutions such as energy communities, energy audits, resilient building design, and affordable clean energy measures can contribute to more secure, inclusive, and adaptable energy systems. Particular attention will be given to the recently adopted Citizens Energy Package and to how its measures can support vulnerable consumers, promote citizen participation, and strengthen local responses to energy poverty.
Showcasing practical experiences and real-life case studies, the event opens an opportunity for a facilitated, hands-on session to identify key challenges and co-develop actionable strategies for enhancing consumer protection and resilience at the local level.
