Description
Access to adequate heating, cooling, hot water, lighting, and energy to power appliances is essential. These services are fundamental to ensuring energy-efficient homes, decent living standards and good health for all. Yet across Europe, many households continue to face energy poverty, a complex, multi-dimensional challenge stemming from a combination of factors: unaffordable energy prices, limited disposable income, high energy costs, and poor energy performance in buildings. The consequences are far-reaching, from heightened health risks to deeper social and economic exclusion.
In response to this growing concern, the European Commission launched the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH) in 2020.
The EPAH Leaflet summarises the main mission and vision, audiences and work areas of initiative from 2024 to 2028.
