Factsheet – The European Energy Poverty Observatory Landscape

This factsheet provides an overview of the European energy poverty observatory landscape, including a mapping of existing observatories at EU level as of May 2026. It presents governance structures, financing approaches, operational models, and policy contributions from observatories in Austria (Austrian Coordination Office on Energy Poverty), France (National Energy Poverty Observatory, ONPE), Romania (Romanian Energy Poverty Observatory, ORSE), and Ireland (Irish Energy Poverty Observatory, IREPO), while highlighting key lessons learned and common challenges. The factsheet was developed based on discussions and exchanges from the second internal training of the Energy Poverty Nexus project, held in April 2026.
