Life-Beckon's Call for Replications: Empowering Local Energy Initiatives

beckon

Do you want to receive guidance on how to set an energy community or a collective self-consumption project in your local context? Apply for the open call launched by the BECKON project.

BECKON launched an open call inviting local authorities, municipalities, and energy agencies to become replicators of its model. The primary objective is to assist local authorities in establishing Technical Assistance Offices (TAOs) and acquainting them with the concept of energy communities. This is aimed at empowering them to create environments conducive to citizen-centred energy projects and provide ongoing support.

Successful applicants will gain valuable insights from the experiences of setting up local TAOs, encompassing access to a One-Stop-Shop, as well as connections with experts and peers. Overall, replicators will have access to transparent information and step-by-step guidance on how to develop and organize an energy community or a collective self-consumption project.

Interested in this opportunity? Submit the application form  by 15 February 2024. Applicants will be selected shortly thereafter, with the programme scheduled to begin in March 2024.

Watch an interactive video  to find out more about the call or explore more details on the Life-Beckon website.
