Policies and Measures
The project provides support to frontline social workers on issues related to energy, policy and advocacy on the right to energy.
The activities developed with a budget between 100.000 and 1M€ include:
- Training of frontline workers and and additional dedicated helpline by phone to support frontline workers (and individuals in some cases) to answer questions about socio-legal issues related to energy.
- Development of tools to help frontline workers in their support of individiduals and families.
- Development of collective projects with other organisations around the access to energy.
- Policy and advocacy for the realisation of the right to energy, based on the experience on the ground.
The project is a good practice of effective support of frontline workers, pluridisciplinary character of the team, effective policy and advocacy actions. It is the reference point for socio-legal issues related to energy and water in the region.
Main beneficiaries: the energy poor, frontline workers, low income, national/local authorities, policy makers and practitioners.
