Policies and Measures
Les Compagnons Bâtisseurs (CBP) in the regional branch in Provence launched the project MCPE aiming to assist auto-renovations. Staff of CBP helped households with renovation. The project also developed household awareness campaigns, sociotechnical diagnosis and provided advice. The public targeted were households with arrear bills but also suffering from hidden energy poverty. A technical monitoring committee composed by the Var department, CCAS, local authorities and associations selected beneficiaries and followed each project. Each households benefitting from the project receives 2 home visits:
- a "dialogue visit" to understand their needs and teach them some basic energy-saving behaviours
- an "expertise visit" to analyse bills and behaviours, the results are sent to the householder or the social assistant who had identified the household Then a personal monitoring followed that included home renovation and orientation to a more dedicated entity.
Main beneficiaries: the energy-poor.
