Climate Ready Barcelona: Tools for Energy and Climate Resilience

building yellow

The Climate Ready Barcelona project introduces three innovative tools to boost the city’s response to energy poverty and climate vulnerability:

  • An interactive climate vulnerability map of Barcelona, highlighting neighborhood-level risks and energy challenges

  • The “La Meva Energia” app, designed to support citizens through the city’s Energy Advisory Centers (EACs)

  • A comprehensive set of policy recommendations informed by real-world data and local experiences

These resources aim to strengthen public services and local policy with evidence-based approaches, helping both residents and city staff take proactive steps toward climate resilience and energy justice.

Running from 2023 to 2025, Climate Ready Barcelona supports the city’s broader strategy to adapt to climate change by improving data-driven tools, enhancing the quality of energy advice services, and promoting fair access to energy across all neighborhoods.
