RenBEN - Renovatie tot een Bjina-Energie-Neturale-Woning

Local/regional project

RenBEN stands for Renovation into a Nearly Energy Neutral Home. The project focused on the private rental market and wished to give the landlord extra support in making sustainable choices. With a budget between 100.000 and 1M€, it involved the renovation of 30 terraced houses in Kortrijk, Harelbeke and Menen. In these three cities, families received technical, financial and social support for the renovation.

Therefore, RenBEN provided technical, social and legal advice for the long term and answers to the following questions:

  • What steps should you take to renovate your home to BEN-level?
  •  Which interventions are absolutely necessary and which are efficient?
  • Do we plan the renovations inside or outside the current lease?
