The COOLTORISE project, dedicated to raising awareness about summer energy poverty and reducing cooling needs, the first Horizon 2020 funded project focused exclusively on summer energy poverty, has just released its third Policy Brief. This document provides a thorough guide for neighborhoods seeking to adapt to the challenges of extreme summer heat. Targeted at municipal policymakers, it offers strategic recommendations for outdoor interventions designed to address and mitigate summer energy poverty. Drawing from three years of in-depth research and valuable feedback from citizens, the report delivers practical tools and strategies to help communities effectively adapt and thrive during the hotter months. This comprehensive resource is intended to support local efforts in managing summer heat and improving overall resilience.
